FarBridge’s 2025 Year in Review

As Winter Break approaches, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on the milestones and accomplishments that the FarBridge team has achieved throughout 2025. This year has been transformative as we continued to embrace our role as a full-service game studio. It has been filled with challenges that we tackled head-on and successes that we were eager to celebrate together.

In 2025, we launched more games than ever before

This year marked significant growth for FarBridge. We launched multiple new projects that not only expanded our service offerings but also reinforced our commitment to bringing IPs to new platforms for more fans to enjoy. We had the absolute pleasure of working with some of our favorite companies in the industry and are looking forward to what we can create together in the future.

Homeworld: Vast Reaches with 2K Games / Gearbox

Nothing makes us happier than to continue our collaboration with 2K Games on the launch of Homeworld: Vast Reaches on Steam and another project we’ll share more about next year.

Dimensional Double Shift & Inside[JOB] with Owlchemy Labs

It has been a pleasure to witness our friends at Owlchemy Labs expand the reach of their franchises, starting with Inside [JOB],  launched as part of Android XR and available on Samsung Galaxy XR headsets.

Additionally, Dimensional Double Shift, a multiplayer game that the FarBridge team continued working on with Owlchemy in 2025, has almost reached 1 million downloads on the Meta store!

RWBY: Grimm Eclipse - Special Edition with Viz Media and Google Play Games

We’re thrilled to continue expanding the reach of RWBY: Grimm Eclipse to more fans through our partnership with Viz Media. We kicked things off with a special version of the game created for Google’s PC games store, Google Play Games for Windows.

Did you know RWBY: Grimm Eclipse - Special Edition is one of the first native Windows games on Google Play Games?

How to Train Your Dragon: Riders of the Skies with Nex Playground, Universal Pictures, and Dreamworks

When Nex contacted us to develop a How to Train Your Dragon game for their Nex Playground systems, we were thrilled. We now get to say that we brought a popular IP to the kid-friendly console that outsold the Xbox on Black Friday, a fantastic achievement!

These partnerships have been influential in helping us grow our development and publishing  capabilities. We thank you for your trust in our team and shared-vision to bring your projects to life!

We couldn't have done it without our amazing team

Our greatest asset is our team; we literally couldn't have finished the year without them. This year, we were fortunate enough to welcome five new team members who have brought fresh ideas and energy to our studio. We also remain committed to keeping FarBridge what makes it FarBridge – a place where we hold our culture close and strive first and foremost to put people first.

Over the years we have built a team of dedicated and collaborative individuals who are experts in their fields. We take pride in being surrounded not only by some of the best professionals in the industry but also by some of the kindest people around. We feel fortunate that we get to continue creating games together, and look forward to making even more terrible puns in 2026 and beyond!

Another conference season for the books!

Conference season was a busy one for the FarBridge team as we attended multiple conferences and speaking events. We love reconnecting with old friends and forging new relationships within the gaming community.

Conferences provide a wonderful opportunity for us to highlight the expertise and experience our studio has built in the game industry. But they’re also a chance for us to learn, and we love to engage in meaningful discussions, share valuable insights, and exchange ideas with other creators and enthusiasts.

If you find yourself at DICE, GDC, Gamescom or any other 2026 gaming industry events, give us a shout! We’d love to show you what we’ve been working on or help you bring your projects to life on new platforms.

Sharing some laughs and good food was essential

Prioritizing time together as a team is essential to us. Throughout the year, we organized a variety of virtual and in-person events for the team to participate in. We believe it’s crucial to foster a sense of community, especially since we are a remote game studio.

Game Shows brought out the best (and worst) of us

We cannot recommend the in-person game show experience, GameOn!, enough! Nothing says team building like the adrenaline rush of trying to get your team as many points as possible by answering trivia and showing off your skills.

We celebrated new projects and releases by having an Over the Garden Wall watch party

Disclaimer: We don’t work for Cartoon Network, but we enjoy the programs they put out!

Over the Garden Wall is a favorite among the team, and we couldn't think of a better way to relax after a busy summer season.

Looking ahead to the new year

As we look towards 2026, we are eager to embrace the opportunities that await our studio and industry. We will continue to prioritize innovation and collaboration in all that we do. Our goal is to build upon our strong foundation and momentum we built this year, and keep working together to adapt and succeed in the evolving industry landscape ahead.

Thank you to everyone on the FarBridge team for your hard work and dedication. Here’s to a successful year! We look forward to what we can achieve together in 2026.

We are wishing you all a peaceful, restorative end of the year and a bright start to the next.

Happy Holidays!
